Google AdSense
Not only is Google your favorite search engine, but they can also become your favorite part-time job! If you’ve got a website, and you don’t mind having some simple text ads shown anywhere you want on your page, Google will pay you to ‘rent’ the space, as it were… (Just like the text ads at the top and left of this page - you’ll notice it says ‘Ads by Google’ near the ads.)
How you get paid is: whenever someone clicks one of the ads, you get paid. It’s that simple, really. How much you get paid per click is determined by the amount the advertiser has paid Google. You get a percentage of that amount. How much of a percentage is determined by many factors, most of which I am not certain. I just have to trust that Google is paying what I’m supposed to be paid.
You have the choice of either getting a monthly cheque (if you meet a certain commission threshold - $25 I think), or they will direct deposit the money right into your bank account. Sweet.
There is an acceptable level of reporting on stats and payments, with plenty of third party software that does a much better job at reporting than Google themselves.
For more information, visit Google to find out all the details.
This is their AdSense Program page.
